Meet Our Doctors
Dr. John Hoggard
Dr. John Hoggard, originally from Greenville, NC, now resides in Wilmington with his family and enjoys the beach lifestyle. Together with Dr. Caroline Hoggard, they provide high-quality dental care in a supportive and comfortable environment. In addition to his passion for treating complex cases, Dr. Hoggard continually pursues advanced education, including training at the renowned Kois Center and earning a fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
In addition to earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Rhodes College, Dr. John earned a Master of Science degree in Cell Biology from East Carolina University, where he also pursued his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
Dr. Caroline Hoggard
Dr. Caroline Hoggard is excited to join her husband at Hoggard Family Dentistry. Raised in Hickory, NC, she now calls Wilmington her home. After dental school, she completed a one-year residency to enhance her skills in treating complex dental cases, demonstrating her commitment to providing excellent care. Dr. Caroline aims to create a comfortable and relaxing environment for her patients, continuing the legacy of Dr. Kenny and Dr. Vicki Morris.
A Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Biology graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she then pursued a Doctor of Dental Medicine at East Carolina University. She also completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency in Ahoskie, NC.

Took my 3.5 year old daughter for her first appointment and to say she loved her experience is an understatement. The receptionists welcomed us in with smiles and talked to her then Diana, the dental hygienist was so great about saying what she was going to do beforehand and talking her through the process so she wasn’t as scared as she could have been during this new experience. John and Caroline Hoggard both made a visit at the end of the appointment to check on her. It’s clear it’s a family run practice with family values!
